Red, white and blue sprinkles, for garnish
Instructions
Cut pound cake horizontally into three layers.
Place bottom layer on your serving plate.
Spread half of pie filling on top of bottom layer.
Repeat with the next layer of cake and remaining pie filling.
Top with remaining layer of cake.
Frost top and sides of cake with Cool Whip.
Garnish with sprinkles.
Notes
You can make this recipe at any time during the year, just switch out the color of the sprinkles.
You can use boxed pound cake mix or homemade pound cake.
Try using other fruit or flavored pie filling for a fun twist on this dessert recipe.
