Small items to decorate your soap like the heart erasers I chose
Instructions
Start melting your soap in the melting pot.
Add your fragrance once the soap has almost melted down. I used a fragrance called Galactic Grape I purchased online.
When the soap has completely melted, get ready to pour.
Take your mold and pour a thin layer of soap into each of the hearts—just enough so it covers the bottom of the heart mold and put your pitcher back into the melting pot to keep the glycerin in a liquid state.—
Start placing the erasers into the soap.in
I placed one face down in the center of the heart and two of them standing up on each side of the mold (words should face outward).
Now add one more eraser on top of the one in the middle, and then another on top of that one (you'll stack three in the middle).
Make sure the eraser at the top of your mold is facing up. Get your pitcher back out of the melting pot and fill the heart all the way to the top, covering the top of the erasers.
After you let the hearts set for about an hour or more, you can pop them out. They come out super easy!
Notes
Timing Matters for Fragrance Addition: To ensure the fragrance disperses evenly throughout the soap, add it to the melted glycerin just before pouring it into the mold. This timing allows the fragrance to blend seamlessly with the soap without evaporating during the melting process, resulting in a pleasantly scented final product.
Layering Technique for Decorative Placement: When embedding small items like heart erasers into your Conversation Heart Soaps, employ a layered approach for optimal visibility and aesthetic appeal. Start by pouring a thin layer of melted soap into the mold to secure the bottom layer of the decorations. Then, strategically place the erasers, ensuring they are positioned face down in the center of each heart with additional erasers standing up on each side. This method creates a visually pleasing arrangement that showcases the embedded decorations effectively.
Proper Filling Technique for Smooth Finish: To achieve a professional-looking finish on your Conversation Heart Soaps, ensure the soap mixture covers the embedded erasers entirely. After placing the erasers in the mold, fill the hearts to the top with the melted glycerin using a pitcher. This technique ensures that the soap covers the top of the erasers, creating a smooth surface and encapsulating the decorations securely within the soap. Allow the soaps to set for at least an hour before removing them from the mold to maintain their shape and integrity.
